Volunteer tutor Kermin Liu, Esq., offers tutoring in arithmetic (including decimals and fractions), pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus on Wednesdays during the school year from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. If not actively doing homework, the student need not come. Parent or caregiver should remain in the library during the session. Sign up is mandatory. Click on the Calendar tab to sign up.
Mr. Liu's undergraduate degree is in mathematics and he will work with students in all areas of math including algebra, geometry, trig and calculus. He will also help students with English and writing. Sign up is mandatory so please sign up through our online calendar, at the circulation desk, or call the library at 683-9457. Bring text books or worksheets with you if you have them.

When not being used for Library meetings and programs, meeting room reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. The Michael W. Mello Program Room seats about 50 people. A completed and signed application must be returned to the Library Director before a requested date is secured. To request a meeting room, please fill out this form, Meeting_Room_Application_Form.pdf, and send it to the Library. You will be contacted as soon as it is received.
In case you haven't heard yet, coloring programs for grown ups are taking off at libraries and we're going to join in the fun. Join us for this relaxing actiivity and friendly conversation - a great stress reliever!. The next session will be on Wednesday, 4/19 at 3 PM and meet every other week. We will provide coloring pencils and pages for your enjoyment or you can bring your own.

Diane Boumenot is our featured guest speaker on Sunday, April 23 at 2 PM. Diane started researching her mother’s RI family about 10 years ago and has documented her research in her blog "One Rhode Island Family". Diane's blog contains some stories, problems, research experiences, questions, and mysteries as she pursues the search for those that came before us. Her focus for this presentation will concentrate on military, probate, and pension records and where to find them and what they might yield for genealogical research.

Our Third Tuesday Book Club will meet May 16 at 6:30 pm to discuss Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande.
Our Teen Fiction Book Club will meet April 25th at 6:30 to discuss Flush by Carl Hiaasen. All ages are welcomed.
