The Library The Portsmouth Free Public Library was built in 1897 and has had several additions and renovations since then. It is one building of approximately 9,515 square feet serving the Portsmouth community. The library has one separate meeting room for public use. There are approximately 75,000 items in the library. The library is owned and operated by the corporation "The Portsmouth Free Public Library Association". |
Library Hours September thru June 2010 Sundays 1 PM to 5 PM (until Memorial Day) Monday - Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM Friday & Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM June 14 thru September 6, 2010 Closed Sundays Monday & Tuesday 9 AM to 8 PM Wednesday - Friday 9 AM to 5 PM Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM
