Anatomy of a Local Murder Mystery with Claremary Sweeney

Find out how Claremary Sweeney, a writer/photographer, uses her vivid imagination to create both children’s stories and adult books as she discusses the "Anatomy of a Local Murder Mystery".  On the pages of the South County Series, Sweeney creates her modern murder mysteries and sets them in the local historical places she knows so well – places that she holds close to her heart.  The events in Last Train to Kingston occur not far from her home in West Kingston while Last Rose on the Vine is set nearby at her alma mater, the University of Rhode Island. Last Carol of the Season begins on Main Street in the village of Wakefield where she lived when first moving to South Kingstown. Last Sermon for a Sinner is set in the village of Peace Dale and will be available in 2019.

The author lives in South County with her husband Charley and their two cats ZuZu and Roxie. Roxie hopes, some day, to have a book of her own, but for now spends time complaining about being “Roxie Dammit, aka The Other Cat” in featured posts on Ms. Sweeney’s blog:
