Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors

Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways for people with dementia to communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common behavior triggers, and learn strategies to help intervene with some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

Fiber Felting with Karen Katin

Join us with Karen Katin, from The Stitchery here in town, to learn how to felt wool onto fabric. Instruction, design planning, and execution will all be included. All materials provided, along with a set project, or if you are feeling a little creative, come up with your own.

Registration is strictly limited and will open two weeks prior to the event. A reminder email will be sent two days before the event. If you cannot make it at any time, please call the library so we can offer your spot back to the public. This event is for 18+ only.
