The Early Years of Portsmouth with Jim Garman

Wed, 03/09/2016 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm

The first in a series of events planned throughout the year is a lecture "The Early Years of Portsmouth" featuring Town Historian and Historical Society President, Jim Garman, at the Library. “ An important part of the Portsmouth Historical Society’s mission is public education. We want to make Portsmouth’s history accessible to all by displaying and discussing our historical documents and artifacts with our community,” says Garman. “This week’s events are the first of several planned throughout the year, to include more public lectures, as well as social events. We want to get our community engaged in appreciating what happened here and why it is important.”

This event is free and open to the public but seating is limited.  Please call the Library at 683-9457 to reserve your seat.
