RI Libraries' Scavenger Hunt

Can you find Good Egg and Bad Seed at your Rhode Island Libraries?

Scavenger Hunt Across Rhode Island's Libraries!

Join the Rhode Island Libraries Summer Reading Scavenger Hunt and turn your summer into a statewide library adventure! Families are invited to visit participating libraries across Rhode Island from June 22 through August 22 in search of the mischievous Bad Seed and the lovable Good Egg hiding inside each library.

Getting started is easy! Pick up your scavenger hunt passport when you sign up for Summer Reading at the Children’s Library. Each time you visit a participating library and spot Good Egg or Bad Seed, show a librarian and receive a stamp or sticker in your passport.

The more libraries you visit, the more chances you have to win prizes and grand prize raffle entries!

Prize Levels

  • 5 library visits/stamps: one grand prize raffle entry, and a surprise prize opportunity
  • 15 library visits/stamps: second grand prize raffle entry
  • 20 library visits/stamps: third grand prize raffle entry
  • 25 library visits/stamps: fourth grand prize raffle entry

After collecting your first 5 stamps, send a picture from one of your library visits to the RI Center for the Book for a surprise prize! Photos may be featured on the RI Center for the Book’s social media pages to celebrate Rhode Island libraries and promote summer reading across the state.

Be sure to submit all raffle ticket entries by September 7. Winners will be announced on September 8.
