TEEN Watercolor Painting Class

We are so excited to offer our first ever TEEN WATERCOLOR PAINTING class! This class is strictly for those in rising grades 6-12, and limited to 10 participants. Registration will open on June 20th. 

Pamela Nadeau, a local art teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience, will lead our teens in creating their own painting using watercolors. We hope you will #shareyoursummer with us, and as part of our teen summer reading program, don't forget to fill out your badge on Beanstack! 

Narcan Training for Teens and Adults

Sponsored by the Newport and Portsmouth Prevention Coalitions, as a continuation of our Opioid Information session from March 9th. This training session is open to all teens and adults, with no minimum age restrictions. The training will include basic information about common opioids, signs to look for in an overdose, a review of the Good Samaritan Law, how to administer the nasal form of Narcan, and a question and answer session. 

No needles or injectable forms of Narcan will be available.

Middle School Dungeons & Dragons

Recently a large 2-mile wide labyrinth made of thickets appeared across the base of a mountain range.  Several undead have started to emerge from the thickets and threaten the nearby town.  After the sudden appearance of the labyrinth, the town is urgent for a group of adventures to clear the maze of the monsters within.  Th

Circles and Silence: The Opioid Epidemic

To help support and honor the Portsmouth Prevention Coalition Wellness Week, we ask you to join us in a presentation by David Neil, the Violent Crime Prevention and Community Outreach Coordinator from the United State's Attorney's Office. A short film will be shown called Circles and Silence, an overview of the epidemic will be presented, and multiple speakers will be present to talk about their experiences. A question and answer session will follow.
